San Carlos, California…a great place to be
San Carlos is the nicest little California town you’ve never heard of, unless (maybe) you live in the San Francisco Bay Area. It has a bit of an undeserved rep for being boring. Our offices are on Laurel Street, which is the heart of San Carlos and studded with many restaurants and shops.

The Refuge, San Carlos
Just downstairs from us is a gastropub called the Refuge, known locally for their homemade pastrami and wide array of Belgian beers. Might seem an odd combination but trust me, it works. The pastrami is nothing like you’ve ever seen before: thick slices of heart-of-the-navel brisket edged with pepper and spices. You must try it.

Hot Harvest Nights, San Carlos
Some years ago Reno and its neighbor city Sparks, Nevada premiered an event called Hot August Nights, which has spawned a slew of imitators. The San Carlos version is Hot Harvest Nights, which kicks off in May and runs through September on Thursday evenings with organic produce, street music, open shops and always something going on. We hope to have a booth this year now that we’re part of the San Carlos business community.
